Stormbreaker Shields – set of 3

Description

3 piece resin kit. Large Spartan-inspired Hoplite shield with a sci-fi twist suitable for 28mm-32mm scale infantry models.

COMPATIBILITY

This kit is perfect for customising your minis; the large round shields would work well for a Spartan or Viking aesthetic so would be perfect for Minotaurs and Space Wolves Space Marines in Warhammer 40k. If you wanted to use these shield for fantasy or historical gaming, the rear cabel detail could be carefully removed with a knife or chisel blade.

In the photos above you can see examples of the Stormbreaker Shields used to convert Space Marines Bladeguard Veterans (shown only for example) with a Greek/Spartan theme. The model also features the Customisable Pteruges available from the store. In this example I used the easy build Bladeguard Veterans and used a spare forearm from my bits collection, alternatively you could trim the original arm away from the shield that it’s attached to. When using the multi-part Bladeguard kit you simply need to trim the hand/grip piece to fit.

PREPERATION

Resin kits should be washed in warm soapy water before use, some work may be needed to remove mould lines and fill in small air bubbles. If you need help you can follow the Beginners Guide to Resin.

Resin components may vary in colour. Supplied unassembled, unpainted. Pressure cast for improved quality. Designed and sculpted by Philip Spence, hand cast in the UK.
