308th Death Korps of Krieg Army Showcase

I was up at Warhammer World the day before Armies on Parade, while I wasn’t able to take part I did manage to take a bunch of photos of my entire painted Death Korps of Krieg army* on the lovely Spyral Prime city board. I’ve been working on this Death Korps of Krieg army since I got back into the hobby 5 years ago and it comes to just under 5,000 points which feels a lot less than I thought it would come to. At the bottom of the post is the full army list. Additional photos at the end courtesy of Dan Cooke and Sean Power.

*  minus the Trojan Support Vehicle that I forgot about.

Full army list

Here is the full list of models on display, all together in no particular detachment. Some units are magnetised and could take different load-outs, the most notable one is the Baneblade which can be converted into a Shadowsword or other variants.

Thank you so much for all your work on YouTube when building this army. its really helped me with my army especially my gorgon armoured transporter as mine is a recast and I didnt get instructions in mine. And the smaller guides like the trench rail add ons are amazing as well. its truly amazing to see the whole army amassed like this.

looks amazing, there are other people who have leaned me towards a guard army but you are to blame for me starting a Krieg army. Good stuff haha.

This looks awesome, great presentation btw. I would love to play on a board like this. It seems pretty well playable for such a display board. A great inpsiration for future terrain projects 🙂

Amazing Army !!!! I am in the process of rebuilding imperial guard army to work as both a independent army and as part of my custom Space marine Chapter (Steel Hydra)home world PDF.I am currently torn of the look of my Guard leaning towards DEATH CORPS or classic Hindi Turban head dress with light armor. The force will be mechanized with Chimera Type chassis and supported by wheeled based Taurox.

Thanks! Death Korps are always a great look, and can do lots of light armour with Storm Chimeras and Centaurs. However a Tallarn style army would look great too. The models are just harder to find unless you go 3rd party.

What inspiration! Outstanding look and quality. I see what you mean about 5000 points; so much more you can add! Cheers!

Thanks! There’s definitely more riders I’d love to add, along with HW teams, Macharius tanks and heavy artillery. In an ideal world I’a also have a lot more troops too.

Thanks. It was certainly a highlight to get it all together at Warhammer World and take some photos. 🙂
